Terms & Conditions

Gear Goggles Driving School

Welcome to Gear Goggles Driving School. By booking and attending lessons with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before beginning your driving tuition.

1. Driving Licence & Legal Requirements

  • All pupils must hold a valid provisional or full UK driving licence.

  • You must produce your licence for inspection on or before your first lesson.

  • Pupils must meet the legal eyesight requirements: able to read a number plate from 20.5 metres (with glasses/contact lenses if needed).

2. Lesson Bookings

  • All lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

  • Lesson durations are typically 1.5 or 2 hours.

  • Block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed.

3. Payments & Cancellations

  • Payment must be made in advance of each lesson or at the time of booking.

  • We accept bank transfers and other agreed payment methods.

  • At least 48 hours' notice is required for lesson cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

  • In the event of instructor illness, vehicle issues, or adverse weather, lessons may be rescheduled at no cost to you.

 

4. Punctuality

  • Pupils are expected to be ready at the agreed time and location.

  • If you are late, the lesson time may be reduced accordingly.

  • If the instructor is late, the lesson will still run for the full agreed duration or be rescheduled.

 

5. Conduct

  • Pupils must behave respectfully and responsibly during lessons.

  • The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson immediately if a pupil is unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate behaviour.

  • In such cases, the lesson will be charged in full.

 

6. Driving Tests

  • Driving tests must be discussed and agreed with the instructor in advance.

  • Use of the instructor’s car for a driving test is subject to availability and the instructor’s approval.

  • If the instructor deems a pupil not ready for the test, they reserve the right to refuse use of the vehicle for safety reasons.

 

7. Liability

  • Gear Goggles Driving School and its instructors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused during lessons, except where negligence is proven.

  • We are not responsible for test cancellations made by the DVSA.

 

8. Data Protection

  • All personal information provided will be treated in accordance with UK GDPR regulations.

  • Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

 

9. Changes to Terms

  • Gear Goggles Driving School reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

  • Pupils will be notified of any significant changes in advance.
